  1. Hi Pete, Our sincere apologies for the delayed response here. Just for the communities eyes, we'd been working with Pete on this through a private support ticket. If anyone encounters this issue please drop a message to support@ftrack.com and we'll get this looked at. When it comes to schema clones, any errors will very much depend on your individual database, and as those can sometimes contain confidential data if you message our support team we'll be able to get you sorted. Thanks for bearing with us there Cheers
  2. Hi there, Thanks for the update there and the additional info. The Mac OS version shouldn't be an issue as it is compatible with Monterey, though interesting to know you get the same issue on a different machine with the same OS. It would be great if we can rule this out by testing on your Windows PC, however if that doesn't work would you mind dropping us a mail at support@ftrack.com, as our support team can then request specific logs that we'll need to dive into things further. Keep us posted. Cheers, Andrew
  3. Hi There, Thanks for writing in, we'll be happy to help out here. May I confirm a few things to help us narrow down where the issue could be: * Do you have other users in your studio using ftrack connect who encounter the same issue, or does it only appear to be your user with this issue? * What machine are you using? Do you happen to have access to another machine with ftrack connect, and if so does it present the same issue when trying to log in there? * I see you're on Mac OS, can you let us know what version of OSX you are running? Let us know and we'll do our best to advise further. Cheers, Andrew
  4. Hi Isa, Thanks for reporting this, the team have reached out to you on a separate thread to address all of your raised issues, however just posting here for visibility on the community. Regarding the issue of the documentation link pointing to a broken URL, this is actually an issue on our end that we will get fixed up, however the doc it should point to is here - https://help.ftrack.com/en/articles/1040436-configuring-file-storage The url you see that includes your ftrack site name is simply a way to re-direct from within the app to our docs, however theres nothing specific you need to install and this is simply an issue our side with a broken document. Thank you for report this, we'll get this fixed up ASAP. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to give us a shout. Cheers, Andrew
  5. Hi Isa, Thanks for reporting this, the team have reached out to you on a separate thread to address all of your raised issues, however just posting here for visibility on the community. In this instance, regarding how ftrack connect stores it's sessions I'd be happy to explain how we do this: When you log into your ftrack site via the browser (e.g mysite.ftrackapp.com), this creates a sessions that is stored is stored in your browsers cookies. This enables you to remain logged in when browsing the ftrack site, until you either log out or that session is cleared. However, ftrack Connect being a desktop based application handles authentication slightly differently, when you open ftrack Connect for the first time it will ask for your site URL, at which point it directs you to your ftrack site. If you're already logged in via the browser, it will successfully authenticate as your logged in user, or if you aren't logged in via the browser it will ask you to log in, and then it will authenticate. The important thing to note here is that after you've completed this authentication in the browser, the session in ftrack Connect is not related to your browser session (thats why when you logged out of the browser, ftrack Connect remembers your session). This is because ftrack Connect stores your authentication as an API connection in the config.json file which can be found at (if you're on a Mac)/Users/username/Library/Application Support/ftrack-connect You'll notice that if you blow away that config.json file and then re-launch ftrack Connect, it will ask you to re-authenticate. I realise this isn't an ideal workflow if you are using ftrack Connect to access multiple different ftrack sites, ideally we'd have a way to store connections to multiple ftrack servers that you can swap between without re-authenticating, however if you do need to connect to multiple ftrack sites you can use the *Log Out & Quit* option to close ftrack Connect and clear the session, allowing to log back in to a different site. I hope this helps to clarify, if you have any further questions don't hesitate to give us a shout. Cheers, Andrew
  6. Hi Isa, Thanks for reporting this, the team have reached out to you on a separate thread to address all of your raised issues, however just posting here for visibility on the community. In this instance, in order to configure ftrack connect, you need to configure a storage scenario on your ftrack site (using these instructions). In terms of what permissions you need to configure this, your assigned role will need access to the following permission (see attachment below) Once you are part of a role that has access to *manage settings* then you will be able to configure the storage scenario. You can point your site admin to this preference and they'll either need to add that permission to your role, or change your role to one with this enabled. You can read more about configuring roles and permissions here Hope that helps clarify, if you have any further questions don't hesitate to give us a shout. Cheers, Andrew
  7. Hi Mark, Thanks for posting this and apologies for the delayed response here. While we've build CustomAttributeLinks to scale with large datasets there is one limitation to be aware of, and that is that there is currently a limit of 50 entities per link, so if you create a link from shot to asset build, you can only link a single shot to 50 asset builds. The limit only applies for a single shot, so you can still link 50+ shots to different asset builds individually. I'm not sure if that is a deal-breaker for your scenario, as you mention an asset could have potentially hundred of links over the course of a production run. Outside of that though, creating these links shouldn't have any noticeable impact on performance and we've build them with the intent to scale up with larger datasets (though it would be great to hear if you've noticed otherwise). We're still in the early stages of this feature-set so it would be great to hear how you intend to use this and if there are further improvements we can make here, as we're continuing to iterate on the functionality. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to give us a shout. Cheers, Andrew
  8. Hi Yu, Hope you are well, may we confirm are you running an ftrack site that is hosted or is it manage locally (on-prem)? Please let me know as theres slightly different ways of cleaning these up depending on your sites type. Let us know and we'll get you sorted. Cheers, Andrew
  9. Hi Folks, Thanks for your continued interest in this feature, unfortunately this still isn't currently possible, though we've heard from multiple clients who'd love to have this. We've been looking at different ways to approach this though and have been pondering with how we to handle all downloads since the number of versions in a playlist can vary drastically. One thing we're curious to know more about is that when you want a guest to be able to download all versions, is this because you're specifically sending them a playlist for them to download all versions, or is it more from the guests side (e.g some clients prefer to be able to download your versions for offline viewing or to construct into an edit?). We're curious to understand more about these use-cases as some of those problems may be better suited to separate features where we can make the experience better, rather than riding off the back of a *download-all* button. Please let us know, and happy to explore this particular feature in more detail with anyone. Cheers, Andrew
  10. Hi @Samuel Lee you should have now received an invite. Apologies for the delay there.
  11. Hi @Francesco Campobasso, you should have just received an invite. Give us a shout if you have any problems accessing.
  12. Hi Kristin, Thanks for the update here, just updating this post with what we'd talked about in slack for the community. Unfortunately our Product Trello board is no longer in active use. We’re currently working on a new system with the goal to be able to allow users to submit and vote on things we are building, as well as giving greater insight into our roadmap than was possible with the old system Sadly I can’t give a definitive ETA for this yet, however in the meantime feel free tor reach out to support@ftrack.com with the specific features and use-cases you are wanting to upvote. Our support team logs all requests so it would be great to capture any use-cases you have so we can get it in-front of the product team. In your case here I've added your voice to the request around exporting these dashboard views. Apologies we don't have a better workaround in the meantime, but we'll be sure to update the community here once we have a better way to have visibility on the status of these requests. Cheers, Andrew
  13. Hi @Byron Nash thanks for writing in, we'll be happy to get you sorted. A lot has changed in our integrations feature set since this original forum post so we'd love to hear which aspects of the integrations you need help with and the team will be happy help out. As you are currently evaluating, feel free to drop any questions to support@ftrack.com and we'll do our best to get you sorted. We'll also report back anything that may apply to this thread as well. Cheers, Andrew
  14. Hi Jan, Thanks for writing in here and apologies for the delayed response. It's great that you're looking to hook ftrack up to Power Bi. I should say upfront a task like this would definitely require a good understanding of the ftrack API, if you aren't too familiar personally, do you have access to someone at your studio who may be able to help you implement this. I'd love to know a bit more about your use case here, since there are various levels of implementation here. For example, you could use the ftrack API to read the data from a specific entity, and then pump that into power BI. Things will quickly get a bit more complicated if you want to query multiple entities and entire record-sets across ftrack. Sadly there is no direct connection to the ftrack database, so would be needing to use the API to extract this data. However if you wouldn't mind elaborating on what kind of data you've be looking to represent and what kind of result you are hoping to get our of power BI, I could see how best to advise here. Cheers, Andrew
