tokejepsen Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 We had an issue where a supervisor was allowed to delete items by being an administrator role. When the administrator role was assigned to a specific project, the supervisor couldn't remove a version from the client reviews. When the administrator role was assigned to all project, he could delete the version from the client review as expected. Seems like there is an issue with assigning role rights to specific projects.
Mattias Lagergren Posted May 30, 2016 Report Posted May 30, 2016 Thank you for reporting this, could you just type down a few repeatable steps for us: 1. Give user A permission B on project C. 2. Try to remove version from review on project C. .. and so on.
tokejepsen Posted May 30, 2016 Author Report Posted May 30, 2016 Failure: 1. Create a client review with a version. 2. Assign user A, administrator priviliges to delete item, but only on project B. 3. Try to get the version from the client review. Success: 1. Create a client review with a version. 2. Assign user A, administrator priviliges to delete item, but on all projects 3. Try to get the version from the client review.
Mattias Lagergren Posted June 1, 2016 Report Posted June 1, 2016 I'm scratching my head a bit here trying to reproduce this issue. I've: Assigned my self a project specific role with full permissions Created a review session with review session objects from the web ui Removed them from the review session, and seems to work fine. Anything I'm missing?
tokejepsen Posted June 1, 2016 Author Report Posted June 1, 2016 Just to confirm you are assigned to a specific project, like in this: Or assigned to all projects with a project specific role?
Mattias Lagergren Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 Yeah, I've set it up like your first image, for a specific project. Then I go to ftrack, create a review session and add a version to it. Then I navigate to the session and remove the version from it. Is that it, or am I missing some step?
tokejepsen Posted June 2, 2016 Author Report Posted June 2, 2016 That seems to be it. I'll give it another testing round here.
tokejepsen Posted June 2, 2016 Author Report Posted June 2, 2016 I can't seem to reproduce the problem, so might have been a glitch. Sorry, should have created a repro case before reporting
