Custom file path (using connect)

Hi ftrack,

Our studio has multiple disk storage and we use ftrack connect maya to publish versions.

When a version is published, the default file path is:

\project\asset\name\geo\model\version\

Can I change the path to

\project\asset\name\model\version\  (leave out assetType)?

I tried to modify the code in ftrack-connect-package\common\FTrackCore\api\structure but it didn’t work.

Hi Lindsey, welcome to the forums!

To solve this I would recommend setting up your own custom location, rather than changing the built in one. Here are a few links with guides about locations:

Hi ftrack,

I've set some disks in System setting -> Connect Location, but what confuses me is if I want to use a custom folder structure when an asset is published(from ftrack-connect-maya), is there any way to revise the structure code in ftrack connect? Or do I need to write a custom structure plug-in?
