  1. Yes we would really benefit from that feature too. I created another post for that feature request some time ago: https://forum.ftrack.com/topic/924-better-use-of-html-title-tag-in-browser/ For now we're using the chrome extension "Tab Modifier" for renaming the Tabs which is of course not the best solution.
  2. Hey there, is there a way to show all tasks of all projects with a specific status? In our case we have a status called "Ready for internal review". As a supervisor a nice to have feature would be to have an overview of all the tasks that I have to review. Of course this is possible using the API but is there maybe a built in way to do that? Not sure if I'm missing something obvious here... Thanks! Tobi
  3. Hey there, as a supervisor I usually have multiple ftrack tabs open in the browser at a time. Unfortunately it's hard to find the right project since all the tabs are just named "ftrack" (see image 1). Would it be possible to include the current project name (or whatever page is currently shown) in the title? See image 2 for an example. Another good use for the title tag would be to show the currently running time logger. That way the user doesn't forget that there is a timer running in the background as it's shown in the taskbar (Windows only). Looking forward to your feedback! Thanks, Tobi
  4. When sending out Review Session links to our clients it is often the case that we send a link to only one person from the production company. The link then is being forwarded to other people from the production company or the director etc. For this use case it would be really helpful to be able to generate neutral links. These links should not be connected to any name or mail address. The reviewer is only asked for their name once he wants to leave a comment. EDIT: Sorry for posting in the wrong section. You can move the thread to "Reviews" --> "Feature Requests"
  5. Hi, we're using the Export function to create a list of the current shot/task statuses. Unfortunately the layout of the PDF can't really be changed by the user. Specifically we'd like to increase the size of the thumbnail in those lists. A dropdown menu to switch between small/medium/large image sizes would be a nice addition to the export function. Of course larger images would reduce the number of items per page. Also we noticed that there is a small bug with (custom?) attributes of the type "Number". Although the field is a non-decimal number (which is shown correctly within ftrack) the numbers are shown as decimal in the exported PDF. So 5 turns into 5.0 for example. Regarding the Excel export it would be nice to have the same layout for the excel sheet as for the PDF. Then the user could change the layout the way he wants. At the moment the excel file does not include thumbnails. I assume that's because the excel files are created via a parsed csv file? Kind regards, Tobi
  6. Is there any step by step manual for setting up location with the new api yet? I'm looking for some thing like this: The documentation is a great reference. But due to all the crossreferences it's hard to get an overall impression of all the steps that are actually needed to get locations to work. A step by step manual for locations using FTP accessors as some people requested before would also be nice
  7. Is there a way to get a callback with the current upload status when using the makereviewable function? An option to show a percentage value of the already uploaded part of a file would be a nice feedback for the user.
  8. I'm having the same problem here, we're also hosted on the ftrack servers. The ftrack version is 3.3.8.4384, my iOS version is 9.1
  9. Thank you very much for that code which definately helps a lot. My other idea was to code everything on the Nuke side, like checking if the ftrack environment variable FTRACK_TASKID is set when Nuke is starting and run some ftrack api scripts from inside Nuke. But that also seemed like a dirty workaround, so I guess your solution is the better way to go. Maybe some developer can give us an update on how far development is with extending the default actions.
  10. I think I know this problem very well and I'm afraid that there is not really a solution for this. As far as I know the problem is that many applications including browsers often display videos with a limited range (16-235) instead of full range (0-255) which makes the videos look a bit flat (black looks grey) If you have an NVIDIA card on windows you can change that behaviour in the NVIDIA display settings. You can find more information here: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/523992/tip-for-nvidia-users-using-hdmi-and-getting-accurate-color-format/ Of course this is only a solution on the user side. It's also a general issue wih HTML5 Video, so it's not a ftrack specific problem. Applications like VLC have their own range settings that's why there are no color shift/gamma shift problems there.
  11. Hey everybody, is there a way to change the behavior of the default actions like opening Nuke from ftrack? My goal is to extend those actions so I can read out the current shot information and automatically open the latest version of the Nuke script on the server directly from ftrack. At the moment artists have to open the Nuke scripts manually after running the Ftrack Action. My current assumption is that the only way to do that is to write an own action but I'm not sure how to enable the ftrack features in Nuke then so I hope there's a easier way to achieve this.. Thank you in advance, Tobi
