MargauxDR
Hello there, I'm new to ftrack and I have an emergency - I've looked a bit online for help but I still can't find the best way to do it. I need to create two projects with Ftrack - and I want the users assigned to one project to see ONLY their project and not the other one. Some users (supervisors) will need to have access to both. I thought about using the different Roles (Having Administrator Roles and Restricted Users) but I do also want to have Administrators on a project that can change ANYTHING inside that project - still without seeing the other project. Basically I just need to set up the project so ONLY the users added as Team Members to this project can see it, but I couldn't find the way to do that properly. Any help ? Thanks a lot, Margaux. Alberto GZ
You can do this by user under System settings > Users and Groups, then edit roles of each user to assign a new rol and which projects to see. I have not see how to do the same for group.
MargauxDR
Thanks a lot for your reply. That solves the problem, even if I'd love to have the ability to do the same on groups, or to a list of users. But in the meantime that will do for sure ! Alberto GZ
Your welcome! I hope ftrack guys improve this part, making more easy assign/unassign users/groups to project, affecting view/edit permissions. For instance, using the current option Team under each project.
