Tony Posted November 18, 2015 Report Posted November 18, 2015 Having trouble getting users to see files i'm uploading. My account access is Admin, and when I upload/publish an asset I can see it, but ordinary Users don't seem to be able to. Something I'm doing wrong? ThanksTony
Tony Posted November 18, 2015 Author Report Posted November 18, 2015 Just for some insight into this;I created a new project, and created a folder. Inside the folder I created the tasks. Now since this project is updating previously created artwork, I select the Folder, click Versions in the sidebar, and upload the original artwork for reference. And that's where the problem is - Users can't see the file I've uploaded. Could it be because the version is linked to the Folder, and not to a Task? See attached....
Carl Claesson Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 Hi Tony, If another user login to ftrack and navigate to the same Folder and open the version tab, the versions are not visible? Do you see the versions in the main versions spreadsheet? Regards,
Tony Posted November 19, 2015 Author Report Posted November 19, 2015 Hi Carl,Users can see the upload in the sidebar, but when they click on it, the asset doesn't show up in the Component view - see attached...
Carl Claesson Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 Can you try to refresh the browser and see if that helps? What kind of file are you uploading? Regards,Carl
Tony Posted November 19, 2015 Author Report Posted November 19, 2015 Refreshing doesn't solve the problem. Jpegs
Carl Claesson Posted November 19, 2015 Report Posted November 19, 2015 Just to make sure, are you running a local installation? If so, do you have ffmpeg configured? If not you might want to configured it and try again: http://ftrack.rtd.ftrack.com/en/latest/administering/managing_local_installation/configuring_ffmpeg.html Regards,Carl
Carl Claesson Posted November 20, 2015 Report Posted November 20, 2015 Hi, I'll setup a support case for this instead. Will post solution in thread when sorted. Regards,Carl
