    Hi @Amy Baldwin

Our sincere apologies for the delayed response here. We have discussed checklists various times previously and it is definitely something that we want to do, we just need to figure out how they should be tracked and how they work together with completable notes and regular tasks.

One solution we've been discussing here could be to support checklists within markdown. We're working on updating our markdown implementation across various places in the app but current checklists via markdown isn't something that works today. This isn't an ideal solution for us, since checklists within markdown is just a string and isn't tracked in any official capacity, though we understand for quick sub-tasks within a note this may be okay.

We'd love to learn a bit more about your specific use-case and if the above solution may be suitable, or if you'd require something more robust (a-la official sub tasks). We'd also like to understand the impact this has on your production (i.e is this stopping certain teams from successfully tracking the things they want to)

Please let us know and we'll make sure we get your specific use-case and support added to our internal request internally.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Hey Andrew,

No problem! So on our VFX comp tasks, we have various notes that the artist needs to achieve before publishing the next version. We'd like a way to be able to list those notes inside one singular note, but as a checklist. We would ideally do this via a button within the note options (similar to image B below in ClickUp). I don't believe sub-tasks are the way forward for us, as notes can be quite lengthy. The impact is that artists aren't able to effectively track what has and hasn't been done, this is concerning as the very nature of VFX involves artist sharing - so when a new artist picks up a shot, it's important for the information to be there.

Image A - We'd like something like this, a simple option to insert checklist items to any note in addition to the main note completion

Image C - Anyone is able to mark as complete, ideally an audit shows who ticked it similar to what you currently have in the 'completable notes' feature

    Hi,

When this feature was tackled, it was implemented according to the feedback given at the time.
We are looking at improvements, but can't say for sure when we will see it in the product.

    Regards,
    Johan

    Hey,

Just jumping on this old post really! We're in need of this feature urgently, the current solution of mark completed isn't enough sadly as we have a number of tasks we'd like put into one note for the checklist. Is there scope for this to be implemented soon please?
