joshua.meyer Posted June 23, 2017 Report Posted June 23, 2017 Every time I try to publish a project from Premiere, AE, or Photoshop I get a publish failure message with this in the details: LocationError: Failed to transfer component <FileComponent(ff607b92-1ac7-4c88-946a-cb099f014095)> data to location <Location("studio.central-storage-location", b302db0b-4ffa-4bef-9bb0-1209b21ee317)> due to error: Operation makeContainer failed: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'test_josh' Transferred component data that may require cleanup: [] I'm guessing I'm missing something, but I'm not sure what. Thanks for the help!
Mattias Lagergren Posted June 26, 2017 Report Posted June 26, 2017 Hi Joshua, welcome to the forums! This sounds like a permission issue when creating the folders while writing the output to the Disk. Do you permission to create a folder manually to the folder structure where the central storage location is pointed?

My admin settings keep me from changing the security settings on an automatically created folder. Can I specify the folder somehow? Then I could create the folder that isn't buried deep in my libraries and I could change the security settings.
Mattias Lagergren Posted June 28, 2017 Report Posted June 28, 2017 It is possible to change the folder structure and how it is generated but it requires some coding. As an option there is a company, Efestolab, that sells solutions to template the folder structure.
