Documentation for Role Editor Permissions

I see the documentation for how to manage permissions for each role, but I wasn't able to find a more detailed explanation of what the individual checkboxes do. 

Does documentation exist somewhere for that?  Thanks.

At this point I'm specifically interested in figuring out what permissions are needed to be able to allow a user to assign tasks to themselves.  I tried toggling a few things, but documentation for all of the permissions options would be ideal.

This is actually not governed by a permission but can be configured globally here: http://ftrack.rtd.ftrack.com/en/stable/administering/configuring_scheduling.html?highlight=claim

Ok that's good to know, thanks!  Up until now we changed the role permissions so the most basic permissions included being able to modify objects.  That seemed to provide the same effect.
