jeremyr
Hi, It seems that the description field of the Task on the web interface needs plain html for basic elements such as hyperlink or new line. Do you plan to implement markdown encoding, as it is already the case for the notes? Also the field editor seems to be always on one line which make it very difficult to edit in general.. (especially when the field combines some html tags!) Multiline lines description is a very common need and I end up scripting the update from Python to avoid interaction with this field...!! FranZ
I usually click on the pencil icon to pop out the editor, but it can be hard to click the icon and often I need several tries before I can activate the icon.
Mattias Lagergren
Our long-term goal is to change the HTML fields to markdown and we did some work on this >1 year ago but it was paused when prioritise changed. One of the difficulties is that we ideally would convert the already existing HTML to markdown. Or support both during a transition period
Martin Pengelly-Phillips
I think it would be fine if the server upgrade caused all existing HTML entries to be wrapped with a Markdown HTML escape code so they continued to render as HTML.
