Philip Posted June 27, 2016 Report Posted June 27, 2016 Hi I'm developing currently in nuke, but my question extends to all connect supported applications. Is there anyway I can trigger a change in current context in respect to the ftrack apps such as "Working Task". We are currently implementing our own system for loading and publishing files, but we felt a few of the options in the ftrack menu were perfectly fine for our needs and we don't need to re implement them. However since our system allows us to change context without relaunching the application, I wondered how I might get the ftrack options to reflect this change in context. thanks Phil
Philip Posted June 27, 2016 Author Report Posted June 27, 2016 Never mind it seems changing the FTRACK_SHOTID and FTRACK_TASKID is enough. I wasn't sure if they would re check the environment var everytime they are opened. Not sure if this was the approved method, or if there was one at all. I'm guessing this will work when I come to try it on other applications.
Mattias Lagergren Posted July 4, 2016 Report Posted July 4, 2016 Hi Philip, In recent versions we've done some improvements to better support context switching using FTRACK_SHOTID and FTRACK_TASKID after the application launches. Please let us know if you run into any problems with this
