Willem Zwarthoed Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 Hi, right now, when I create custom attributes I can group them, but not sort them in the web interface. Changes made to custom attributes sometimes cause random sorting changes. Is there a way to sort them properly? Thanks, Willem
Mattias Lagergren Posted May 17, 2016 Report Posted May 17, 2016 Hi Willem, In System Settings > Advanced > Custom attributes you can enable "Manual sort". If you do that you can drag & drop them around to order them, that should be respected by the web UI.
Willem Zwarthoed Posted May 18, 2016 Author Report Posted May 18, 2016 Thank you Mattias, that works nicely. Is there also a way to sort Attribute groups in the web interface? Willem

Unfortunately the groups cannot be sorted manually. For local installations there are options to manually layout the sidebar info tabs using JSON files. But that is an advanced technique that is not suitable for all use-cases

sati Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 Hi, We are using the JSON file to edit the layout, but I changed the file (add a new attribute to projects), stop and start ftrack and the layout did not change. Is there another way to force the reload? Thanks!

You can also post the layout here if you want me to scan over it
