diogo
Hi, I miss a additional path option for the Disks settings to differentiate OSX, Linux and Windows paths. Currently all of our Linux boxes use "/mnt/" as a mount point, and even though we could change some of our OSX boxes to match this, not having the option to specify OSX specific paths means that some personal computers (of directors. producers, etc) would require some IT love before being able to make some use of certain features from Ftrack. Something that isn't always feasible. So ideally we would leave OSX with it's standard mount point "/Volumes/" and Ftrack would be able to translate those between Linux "/mnt/" and WIndows "X:/". Changing the Linux boxes to match the "/Volumes/" isn't much of an option for us because they usually run Flame/Smoke and things would probably get messy. Thanks a lot and keep up the incredible work you guys have been doing with Ftrack. Cheers,Diogo
Björn Rydahl
Hi Diogo, nice to hear from you again and thank you for the request. I know you have been asking for it before, and the reason we have not added it yet is that we are switching over to ftrack locations very soon which will handle this better. Then disks will still be there for legacy, but locations will give you much better control over your files. http://blog.ftrack.com/2013/09/ftrack-locations-for-easier.html CheersBj

Fredrik Limsater
Hi Diogo,at the moment we are working hard to incorporate the latest round of feedback so that we can get Locations out to the ftrack users. Will let you know as soon as you can have a go with it. Cheers,Fredrik
atle
Any ETA on this? We have the exact same requirements and until this is solved we can't get FTrack up and running 100% at our facility.
Fredrik Limsater
Hi,we're currently rolling out 2.4v1 which includes Locations. This version has API support for Locations, and high level support will come in a later release. But it should get you going with setting up folder structures. We're doing a staggered release over 2-3 weeks to make sure nothing breaks with the new feature. To get your hands on the latest version now you can contact support@ftrack.com. (only for European based studios this week). Cheers,Fredrik
