Jan Ivar Solås Posted February 16, 2023 Report Posted February 16, 2023 Hi all. We are trying out Prism2 beta and with that comes a ftrack plugin that connects to our project in ftrack. It all works, but when were using the ftrack plugin in Prism2 for uploading media the file gets overly compressed. A lot of detail gets lost which makes it impossible to review model and shading details. I tried uploading by just drag and drop from a folder and to the ftrack web page, and that looks less compressed, but still a bit too much. I've looked through the ftrack Prism plugin and i cant seem to find anywhere where the compression might take place. Anyone have a solution to this? Is the compression going on in the Prism2 ftrack plugin, or is the ftrack site doing it? Can we adjust it, skip it, or otherwise.
Lorenzo Angeli Posted February 20, 2023 Report Posted February 20, 2023 Hi @Jan Ivar Solås I don't know much about Prism2, but In ftrack Studio you can configure the encoding quality from the Settings page. System settings ‣ ftrackreview ‣ Review settings If you want to publish using Connect , you can also take control of the encoding itself, overriding the encoding hook. Hope it helps. L.
