classen
Hey Community,I have a question regarding the Gantt-Chart of a project:Is it possible to export the grafic, means all the bars and connections and so on? If I go to export, I can export a PDF, but this is just the list of all tasks, not the gantt... Help would be really much appreciated! Best regards,Daniel
Mattias Seebergs
Hi Daniel, Unfortunately it is not possible to export at the moment. We have had a quick look at it before but not taken it any further yet, but I will add to the ticket that you are interested in it. Best RegardsMattias
Fredrik Limsater
Hi Daniel, I just want to follow up on this thread. We had/have a prototype for printing/exporting the Gantt chart, where we rendered the chart on the server backend using PhantomJS (a webbrowser with no UI) and then compiled it to an image or PDF. While that works we still need to make it production ready and unfortunately we had to down prioritise it due to other features that we saw as more important. But if the community weights in we might change that. Cheers,Fredrik
Jules
Hello, 5 years on, is this feature still being considered? Cheers, J
TDArlt
I would also be interested in this one, as our clients love Gantt Charts and I'd enjoy having a snapshot the current state of the project for them. If this is not on your roadmap anymore, I suppose that's something you could create with an Action. So I might dig into this, if that's the offical statement? JPrydz
Hi Chris, You can retrieve the underlying data with a script and put together a report yourself if you want. An example is available here:https://bitbucket.org/ftrack/ftrack-recipes/src/master/python/actions/create_report/ Regards, Johan TDArlt
TDArlt
Thanks, Johan! That looks like a very good point to start from. I will have a deeper look into this within the next weeks and keep you all updated. Best, Chris
TDArlt
A small update for everyone listening here: I've made the first steps for creating the Gantt-exporter. It's not finished, but might be sufficient for some of you already: https://github.com/TDArlt/ftrack/tree/master/ftrack-connect/export-gantt-chart I will keep you updated 🙂 Lorenzo Angeli
Matthew Wellman
Hello I was looking for this option aswell, do we still need to do this workaround?
