  1. Hi all, Hope you're well, Off the back of Remus' ticket (here: I'd like to check in on an ETA for advanced filtering on multiple entity types (in particular Milestones and Tasks) I'd also like to see if there's plans in the works to be able to create global queries not set per type (Milestone, Task, Shot etc) As far as I've deduced currently there is no way we'd be able to create filters that would show us solely e.g Animation Tasks and Milestones. Using the above as an example, with the help of Remus we used a Shot Query filter of children[Task] is Animation OR children[Milestone] is Producing however as this is a shot query filter once it's met the criteria on a shot level it shows all of the tasks and milestones under that shot rather than filtering solely the criteria in query. For Production, Milestones and Client Deliverables are an important and critical part of scheduling from Producer to Line Producer/PM. Sadly without this I've noticed scheduling is being conducted in Excel rather than ftrack. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated! I couldn't see this on Trello / I'm not sure if Trello is still an active way of viewing the current roadmaps for ftrack?
  2. Since I need at the moment to ask you almost every day about queries, since I do not know what I can query, where I can query and how I can query... I was wandering if you have a command/query database like the maya on that I would be able to check all the possibilities (e.g. at the moment I do not know how to query a latest version or who published what, etc.) If not it would be cool to have one. Thanks!
  3. Hello everybody, fellow ftrackers. I am having trouble doing the simplest thing on my ftrack server: accessing the session through ftrack_api. session = ftrack_api.Session( server_url='ftrack_server', api_key='1337-key', api_user='ftrack_username' ) All my keyword arguments are correct, however, I keep getting the same bullshit: No handlers could be found for logger "ftrack_api.session.Session" Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:/Work/Python/", line 11, in <module> api_user='ftrack_username' File "C:\Python27\lib\site-packages\ftrack_api\", line 213, in __init__ self._server_information = self._fetch_server_information() File "C:\Python27\lib\site-packages\ftrack_api\", line 1235, in _fetch_server_information result = self._call([{'action': 'query_server_information'}]) File "C:\Python27\lib\site-packages\ftrack_api\", line 1519, in _call raise ftrack_api.exception.ServerError(error_message) ftrack_api.exception.ServerError: <exception str() failed> Someone please explain to me the ServerError issue. I am doing a trial version of Ftrack to keep myself up to speed on this app, but I am doing something wrong. Thanks guys!

    API Tutorial Errors

A few errors/typos I've found while doing the tutorial and the fixes I made to get it working. I list the section, then the error, then the fix 1. Creating>Tasks Error: Change to: project.createTask('a task', taskType, taskStatus) shot.createTask('a shot task', taskType, taskStatus) 2. Using Lists Error: Change to: dailies.append(version)
