  5. The Beta release of our new ftrack Studio x Unreal Engine 5 integration is available today, presenting a new way to take your real-time production workflows to the next level. The ftrack Studio x Unreal Engine 5 integration leverages ftrack’s new Connect framework, the ftrack Studio API, and the Unreal Engine 5 SDK to empower seamless communications between the two platforms and make it easier to publish image sequences and movies back into your ftrack Studio workspace. From there, you can track and manage your versions, add notes, and review the material as it passes through your real-time pipeline. Learn more Beta features: Image Sequence Publisher: Choose the image sequence you have rendered previously and publish this back to ftrack to easily manage your project’s progress. Reviewable Assets: Choose a movie you have previously created and publish it back to ftrack to review a shot or sequence of shots from Unreal. Assembler: Load any asset previously published from another DCC using the pipeline framework. Coming Soon Shot Publisher: Create shots in Unreal Engine 5 and publish them back to ftrack Studio without needing to pre-build this structure in your studio. This is perfect for pre-vis when developing the sequence from a script or trying new ideas and will keep the production flexible in its early stages. To get started with the ftrack Studio x Unreal Engine 5 integration, simply fire up ftrack Connect The ftrack Studio x Unreal Engine 5 integration represents a decisive step forward in our support of virtual production workflows. This integration promises to make your real-time production processes more efficient and cost-effective and give you more time to be creative, taking you one step closer to realizing the potential of technology-powered storytelling. As ever, thank you for your continued support! All the best, The ftrack team

Connect 2.1.0 is now out and ready to download Help docs
  7. Hey Phil. Benn Garnish here - PM for Studio, Connect and Integrations. Thanks for your question. ftrack-connector relates to the old legacy integrations. ftrack-connect-pipeline relates to the new supported and ongoing development for integrations. There are some older version like ftrack-connect-nuke-studio which are different to the connect-pipeline and are perfectly fine with the new and improved Connect 2.0 application. Basically we have developed a new and improved Framework for artists, TD's and developers for pipeline setups within DCC applications. Maya, Nuke and most recently Houdini have had the update applied to them. If your interested in joining our Beta release group please let us know. Kind regards, B.

  10. The integrations department has been working really hard in updating Connect and the library of applications in which we integrate with. This new update to Connect will make it very light weight but will mean in the short term that some existing applications might not run with it. A list of currently support applications that work in Connect 2.0 today and can be downloaded via the Plugin Manager inside of Connect 2.0: Maya 2022 + - on the new Pipeline Framework Nuke 13+ - on the new Pipeline Framework RV 2020+ Cinema 4D Nuke Studio 13+ Applications supported that are required to be downloaded outside of the Plugin Manager: Adobe Suite 3rd Party Integrations: Deadline Legacy Integrations that will work in Connect 2.0 that are limited to the version based on Python 2 technology: 3Ds Max - up to 3Ds Max 2020 Windows only Houdini - up to version 2018 Unity - up to version 2019 Windows only Unreal - up to version 4.25 Windows only The reason for starting to deprecate our Legacy Integrations is to continue to strive towards the standards set by the VFX Reference Platform. Although we may not always hit every point set out, our aim is to continually improve and maintain the standards as close as we can. In order to see what we have planned soon, please visit our Public Portal We look forward to any feedback that you have through support@ftrack.com
